The course

From nothing to your first finished track.

Taught by Yuanyue

Twenty lessons, thirty minutes each. Start with nothing installed; finish with a mixed, exported track built from sounds you recorded during the day — in Ableton Live 12, with free plugins you installed yourself.

What you’ll make

A track that is actually yours

Not a remix of my project file. By lesson 20 you export something you started from an empty set and can play for a person.

A kit built from your kitchen

A kettle, a drawer, a knife on a board. You record them in daylight and they become the drums you write with at night.

A template you keep using

Your racks, your routing, your five plugins. The last lesson saves it, so track two starts where track one finished.

Who’s teaching

I learned this the slow way — a laptop on a kitchen table, borrowed headphones, and two years of tutorials that assumed I already knew what a bus was. This course is the version I wanted then. No gear you don’t have. No theory until you need it. You’ll hear my voice and see my screen, and that is the whole production value; the point is that at the end you have a track, not that you’ve watched me have one.

Questions
Which Ableton edition do I need?

Any Live 12 edition. The course is taught on Suite, which is what the free 30-day trial gives you, and every lesson names the Intro and Standard alternative. The five free plugins in module 4 fill the gaps Intro users have, so nobody should feel they bought the wrong edition.

Do I need a MIDI keyboard or an interface?

No. Everything in the course can be drawn with a mouse and recorded on a phone. An interface and a small keyboard make a few things faster, and lesson 9 explains what each one buys you before you spend anything.

Windows or Mac?

Either. Live 12 runs the same on both, and the five free plugins are cross-platform. Where a shortcut differs, the cheat sheet lists both.

How long do I have access?

Lifetime access — one payment, no renewal, and every future update included. Come back whenever the next free evening turns up.

What if it isn’t for me?

30-day money-back guarantee if you’ve completed fewer than 5 lessons. Email us with the order id from your account page and the refund goes back to your card.

Is there a payment plan?

Not yet. The course is one payment. If a payment plan arrives, it will be announced by email first.
